As the political world climate is escalating, I find it essential to set my focus on areas I can have a positive impact. I cherish the productive kindness in our online community and just admire the vibrant, creative, supportive, and invigorating spirit of our participants.
Will building puppets and releasing our creative energy stop bombs from being dropped, prevent politicians from misusing their power, save our environment from ongoing ruthless destruction, stop raging religious and political extremism, etc., etc.?
Yes, it will! Here you have it, a possibly naïve claim which might be difficult to support. But positive, optimistic action is always better than paralyzing, fearful inaction! I have seen the sparkle in our audience’s eyes, I have seen the calm determination of artists nurturing the human spirit against all odds, I have seen walls come down and friendships been nurtured across cruel borders. Every change starts with a dream, artists are dream makers. What dream, which idea, will you nurture?
I invite you to join our upcoming free Masterclass, where we will dive deeply into the powerful potential of the artist’s way and the magical and powerful art of the puppet. We will discover how we can tap into the birthright of our creativity and leave a positive impact in a world going mad. Of course, we will also get very practical and hands-on, learn about the basic tools and techniques to make our own puppets, learn to carve a “potato head” and build a marvelous fish rod-puppet.
